We supply Clamps for Hose and Pipe in a 2 bolt and 4 bolt styles that range in sizes from 1/2" up to 48". We can also build custom sizes made to your specifications. API Standards require a minimum breaking strength of 16,000 pounds for rotary hose safety clamps.

Whip Socks

Whip socks, also known as cable socks, are extremely useful for high pressure applications and potentially life-threatening hose failure situations. The woven steel material of whip socks helps protect and covers areas of abrasion. The unique design of the cable socks prevents unpredictable whipping and grip harder the more they are tugged on, which allows for a reliable and safe hose restraint process. At Global Hose, our whip socks are made with high-quality materials and custom sizes to fit the specific size of your hose.

Whip Socks & Cable Sock Applications

Whip socks are the best way to restrain high-pressure hoses from blowing out and harming workers and/or equipment. They are recommended for high-pressure applications like:

  • Air
  • Hydraulic
  • Water

Hose Whip Socks can typically be configured in two ways:

  • The hose is attached to another whip sock
  • The hose is attached to a hose hobble clamp that is then tied to a pipe or custom equipment

Custom Capabilities:

  • The legs of the hose whip socks can be adjusted for a wider reach (without any slack)
  • Multi-leg configurations of whip socks are an option for shorter hoses and hose assemblies

Hose Hobbles

Hose hobbles are secured on the outside of heavy-duty hoses and pipes to help prevent accidents with hose connection failures. Our hose hobbles are made with steel clamps and alloy steel chains or wire rope cables that have high breaking strengths.
